Compulsive nail polish strips in "Pastel Tribal Eyes" Design

Hi everyone!

Today I have another post featuring some nail polish strips, but this time from a brand that is completely new to me. I stumbled upon Compulsive Nails nail polish strips on Instagram one day, and I was intrigued by the owner, who happened to be in college at the time, who designs the images herself and gets them printed with nail polish ink on thin pliable strips. I saw her tribal-inspired nail strips, and given that I love the tribal trend , I had to give them a try. Being that Alex, the company founder is also a fellow Floridian and lover of nail polish strips, it made my choice to go ahead with my first order that much easier. See what they look like on me in the pics below. It was a very cloudy and rainy day when I took these pics, so unfortunately there's no sunlight here :(

I haven't exactly nailed the claw pose yet...lol

Since this was my first set of nail strips from Compulsive Nails, I had a bit of difficulty choosing the right size for some of my nails. The shape of the strips threw me off a bit, but not so much for me to dislike them. Wear time was very good; I wore them for about five days before changing my nails for my next mani. Removal was a bit different as well. I soaked the nail strips with pure acetone, then they easily peeled right off. I then wiped off the adhesive that was left behind with more acetone. Not difficult at all. Overall, I really liked my first set of nail strips from Compulsive Nails, and I will definitely grab some more in the future. I also got tons of compliments when I wore these from friends and strangers while out and about! ;)

So, how do you like these Pastel Tribal Nails? I absolutely loved them!

Ok, about my next post...I'm not so sure when that will be... Maybe Wednesday, maybe Friday, maybe next week. I have two dance recitals coming up (one this weekend and one next) ; and if you're a dance teacher like me, or even a dance parent, you know how hectic this time of year can be. Through all the craziness though, I'm still excited to see my kids perform my choreography on stage (for those who don't know, I'm a tap teacher). Wish me luck! I'll see ya soon! :)

Sally Hansen Salon Effects "How Romantic!"

Hi!

I still cannot believe it is February already! Can you? This year is going by crazy fast... Anyways, with it being February, or "Singles Awareness Month" as described by a former classmate of mine (lmao), I will be doing some Valentines looks every now again before the month is over. I thought some more Sally Hansen Salon Effects, in "How Romantic!", would be perfect to get this going.

This is an older design from the brand that came out last year. It was still in great shape from being in my stash for so long, so no complaints here. They worked great, as usual. I love the color-blocking that you see in the design as well, and I will definitely try to free hand something like this in the future.

How do you like this mani? Have you created some Valentine's looks yet? See ya next time :)

OPI Pure Lacquer Apps in "Peacock"

Hi!

I have been going through my stash and remembered these nail polish strips from OPI that I found at Ulta quite some time ago. Remember when OPI had these? Well, I do, and I still love the ones I picked out, so I decided to continue the nail polish strips kick that I'm on and show them to you! I hope you like the yellow and red "Peacock" feather design you're about to see below.

One thing I love about OPI's Pure Lacquer apps is how thin and pliable they are. They are perfect for ladies who also have super curved nail beds like I do; and if you have flatter nail beds then they're perfect for you as well! Nail apps that are thicker and more on the sticker side (that sounded a little funny) almost refuse to lay completely flat on my curved nail beds, so to cut out the frustration, I stick with those that are like the ones I'm wearing above. Finish with a coat of top coat as you would with regular polish, and you're ready to go!

What do you think about these? Have you given nail polish appliqués a try? See ya next time!

Sally Hansen InstaGel Salon Effects in "Croc me up"

Hi there!

I hope your Monday is off to a great start. I have another Sally Hansen InstaGel Salon Effects post for you today. Remember that these InstaGel strips are just like the regular Salon Effects strips, but with a gel top coat that has to be cured with a led lamp. I had a hard time choosing from my stash of these this past weekend. My choices were between this crocodile print that you're about to see, and a shimmery leopard print (both by Sally Hansen). I asked my nail buddies in a nail group I'm in on Facebook to help me decide which design to go with, and the croc design got a couple more votes than the other. I'm glad I ended up putting on this set because it's not so often you see crocodile print on nails, and this one just screams "Fall" to me. Anyways, here's how "Croc me up" turned out on my nails...

What do you guys think? I really like the shimmer behind the crocodile scales (spots?). It really makes it pop, and it makes me think of a nice designer bag. I got this set at an Ulta store a while ago, and these surprisingly were in the clearance section. Sally Hansen must be coming out with new designs very soon. You can also find InstaGel strips and their led lamps at CVS, Target, and Walgreens. Now on to some good news...

This upcoming Halloween marks my one year anniversary in the blogging world, and though I'm still a newbie blogger, I thought I'd celebrate somehow. I will be making an announcement on my Facebook page this week, so make sure you are connected with me on Facebook so you will be able to find out! Thanks, and I hope to see ya there!

Incoco nail polish strips in Maxed Out

Hey guys!

I wanted to show you all these super cute nail polish strips from Incoco that I won from a contest they were hosting on Instagram. It might be fall season now, but I thought I'd throw on some neon one last time! These are just too fun to save for later. Here are the polish strips in "Maxed Out" design!

As usual, these nail polish strips from Incoco are some of my favorites. I have been using Incoco polish strips for years now, and haven't been disappointed yet. I definitely recommend you give them a try if you haven't, and to take a look at the designs they have lined up for fall! What do you think of my "Maxed Out" nails? Are any of you still putting on some neon this time of the year? See ya next time :)
