Scratch Nail Wraps in "La Lune" and Layla Hologram Effect "Flash Black"

Hello, everyone!

I really love the look I have on the blog today. It is basically a combination of two of my favorite types of nail products : holographic nail polish and clear nail wraps. The company who I am a subscriber of, Scratch, made a new set of clear nail wraps with really cool images of a moon going from full to crescent, and I thought they would look great over a black holographic polish. I layered "flash black" over a basic black polish to make it pop, and I think it really did!

So what do you think? I feel that Scratch does a great job with creating clear nail wraps that can be layered over any kind of nail polish you'd like...the possibilities are endless. I typically will go with a holographic nail polish because I am a huge fan of them, and have so many to combine them with. I think I've used holos with clear nail wraps all but once out of the few that I've done so far.

Layla Hologram Effect polishes are fairly easy to find in stores like Ulta, and most beauty supply stores. I found all of mine at an Ulta store, so maybe you might want to head to one near you, if you like strong linear holos. The one thing you need to get in order to make applying them easier is an aqua fix base coat; otherwise they go on very streaky because of dragging. I used regular base coat in the mani above, and did have to do a little patching up above, but I wasn't too concerned about that as I knew I was going to layer the nail wraps over it anyways. I don't think you can tell that I had to patch up any where. The aqua base is definitely a must-have if you use strong holographic polishes often. It is well worth the money, for sure.

Well, that's it for my first post of the week. I have some more lined up for the next few days and I'm excited for you to see them! See ya next time with some new nail looks.
